Heroscape is a different and unusual type of expandable miniature war-gaming system. Originally produced by Milton Bradley, the game is now produced by Wizards of the Coast. The games features miniature figures on a board. The figures are player created from interlocking hexagonal sections. The tiles give players an unlimited amount of three dimensional playing fields. Game boards are of the highest quality but what truly attract players are the pre-painted figurines.
Plus Heroscape features expansion sets that allow you to include roads, mountains, trees and any other natural and man-made items. At the very core of the game is the war that takes place among characters in a player designed setting and scenario. All though the terrain type and elevations are basically expanded on from other complete sets or expansion packs, you’ll get everything you need for 2-4 players including a rule book that provides you with a lot of different scenarios.
The characters in Heroscape are inspired from Medieval times, the Roman Empire, the Old West, and American History just to name a few. Teams in Heroscape consist of samurai, agents, knights, robots and dragons. There are endless possibilities that make building the 3D playing board a lot of fun. You can design your board and scenario using your own wonderful imagination. There can be a single hero or a squad of two or more characters. Every unit comes with its own army card that describes any special abilities as well as attributes for the unit. Heroscape is one of the most entertaining games you’ll come up against.
